Who we are. Coach Chad ("we", "us", "our") provides AI-assisted profile optimization, text help, and conversation analysis via our mobile app and website at https://chadai.coach/.
1) Scope
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to our app, website, and related services.
2) Data we process
- Account data (if you sign in): Sign in with email identifier and; internal user ID.
- Purchases: Subscription status and receipts handled by Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat (we never see your card number).
- User content: Photos/screenshots, text, and audio you upload for analysis; generated outputs and feedback.
- App/Device data: Device model, OS version, app version, language, IP address, time zone; diagnostics and crash logs.
- Support: Emails or messages you send to support.
We do not access your contacts, photos, or microphone without your consent, and we do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
3) How we use data (purposes)
- Provide and operate the service: run AI analyses, show results/history, restore purchases, and keep the app working.
- Safety & abuse-prevention (17+/18+ context): rate-limit usage, detect and prevent misuse, investigate reports, and enforce our rules.
- Improve the product: quality assurance, troubleshooting, analytics on an aggregated or de-identified basis.
- Legal & compliance: tax/audit records, responding to lawful requests, honoring data-subject rights.
4) Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
- Contract: to deliver requested features (analyses, subscriptions, restore purchases).
- Legitimate interests: to secure the service, prevent abuse/fraud, and improve quality.
- Consent: where required by law (e.g., optional notifications).
- Legal obligation: to keep necessary records.
5) Sharing & processors
We share data with service providers that help us run the app, under contracts that protect your information:
- Apple (App Store, payments/receipts)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Supabase (authentication, database, storage)
- AI model providers (to perform analyses you request)
- Error/analytics tools (diagnostics and performance)
We do not share personal data for third-party advertising. If we are legally required to disclose data, we will do so only as necessary.
6) Retention
User content & outputs: kept in your account until you delete them; inactive items may be auto-deleted after 90 days.
Diagnostics/logs: stored up to 30 days.
Backups: removed within 90 days of deletion.
We may retain minimal information if required by law or to resolve disputes.
7) International transfers
Data may be processed in the EU and the U.S. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
8) Your rights
Where applicable, you may access, correct, export, or delete your data. Use in-app settings or email hello@chadai.coach. We verify identity (e.g., Sign in with Apple) before fulfilling requests. Primary systems are deleted within 30 days; backups within 90 days.
9) Children
The service is intended for 17+/18+ users only. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10) Security
Encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, least-privilege practices, and regular reviews. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
11) Your choices
Manage subscription / cancel / restore: on your device via Settings → App Store → Subscriptions (or the in-app “Restore” link).
Delete content or account: via in-app controls or by emailing hello@chadai.coach.
Notifications: you can enable/disable in system settings.
12) Changes
We’ll post updates at https://chadai.coach/privacy and notify you in-app for material changes.
